Mrs. Karen Odelson

This is my fifth year at St. Joseph School and I am very excited to share my love of reading, writing, and grammar with the fourth and fifth graders throughout the school year.  I am originally from Michigan and graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and an elementary education certification.  I have spent a total of fifteen years teaching students in third, fourth, and fifth grades.   Prior to working at St. Joe’s, I taught 3rd and 4th grade at St. John of the Cross Parish School in Western Springs.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, baking, and traveling with my family.  Our two girls, ages 17 and 19, keep us busy with visits to ISU, after school activities, and all of the excitement that senior year in high school brings.
