Physical Education

Building Skills, Fitness, and Fun

Active Minds, Active Bodies- Comprehensive Physical Education for Every Student

At St. Joseph School, physical education is an integral part of our curriculum, occurring twice weekly for each student. Our program is designed to develop physical skills, promote fitness, and encourage teamwork through a variety of activities tailored to different age groups. We aim to create a positive and active environment where students can develop lifelong fitness habits and enjoy physical activity.

Grades K-3: Students focus on locomotor skills such as chasing, fleeing, dodging, dribbling, juggling, and balancing, along with many other fun activities that promote coordination and physical fitness.

Grades 4-8: Students engage in team sports, individual sports, and cooperative games, with an emphasis on overall fitness. They also complete a fitness assessment twice a year to monitor and encourage their physical development.

Uniform Requirements: Students are required to wear uniforms for PE classes.
