I am so excited to be working at St. Joseph School as a Reading Teacher! I’m looking forward to getting to know the children and to meeting parents at St. Joseph School!
I have 35+ years of teaching and administrative experiences in public and private school settings. Before coming to St. Joseph School, I was a Resource Teacher for 17 years in School District 200 in Wheaton. Prior to that, I held teaching and administrative positions in High School District 201 (Morton High Schools in Cicero/Berwyn), Elementary School District 99 (Cicero), the Chicago Public Schools, Elementary School District 149 (Calumet City) and the Chicago Archdiocese Schools.
I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education (EMH/BD) from Northeastern Illinois University; a Master’s Degree in Learning Disabilities from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Northeastern Illinois University. I have certification in Elementary Education, Special Education and Educational Administration.
I am also a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner since 2004 and enjoy tutoring students privately in Reading and Math after school and on weekends!
Besides tutoring, I love to read, garden, and spend time with my two adult children, family, and friends!
